Past Trip Report
For
the fourth year in a row this trip was incredible. Having found the
way to dodge the more commercial experiences
that Manatee adventures that tend to be popular in the area, the
adventurers traveling on this trip found the Manatees of Crystal River a
pleasure to behold. Interactions were common. Face to face
encounters the norm. We had adventurers who experienced the joy of Manatee
Kisses, Tummy rubs and playful puppy like actions of individual animals, and the
sheer joy of watching a mother teaching her calf the value of play.
Other
joys were to be found at Crystal River this year as well. Osprey,
Pelicans, underwater Cormorants, Alligators and the Giant Tarpon were all
present to delight us all. We even saw a film crew from Japan's
version of "Those Amazing Animals" and were delighted to be part of of the fun.
The weather cooperated perfectly. The water was amazingly clear. A
fantastic time was had by all. With a fantastic experience behind
us, we are looking forward to next year where we can spend a few days playing
with our new found friends.
