Cooper River, South Carolina
Fossil and Shark Tooth Diving
April 9th & 10th, 2005

Past
Trip Report
The
weather cooperated and the water was warm, with the group of seasoned
river divers that came along, this was a super fun trip we will not soon forget.
Everyone who dove came back with fossils, sharks teeth and a whole lot of
stories about the excitement of black water diving. Sure to be
a popular trip
next year, we found some exciting things for our friends and family to do
topside as well. We had an opportunity to explore downtown Charleston.
Eat dinner at the Noisy Oyster and look at some of the
history that this area is known for.
On
Saturday, after diving, a couple of people went to explore the Aircraft
Carrier
Yorktown Permanently docked as a museum on Patriots Point.
This ship was huge and they
allow you to explore almost every inch of it. The Flight Deck
was amazing. It was hard to believe that this was actually a small carrier
compared to the newer ones afloat today. We also had an opportunity
to explore a nearby destroyer and a submarine. We spent almost three hours
exploring the ships and barely scratched the surface.

Next year will be fantastic. We are looking
forward to it.
