Past Trip Report

Rich, Dick, Ray, Adam, Brandon, Chuck, Jennifer, Jim, Gwen, Pierre, MacKenzie, Jay, Siggy, Roland, Kim and Kelly... the 2005 Bahamas Adventurers!

This had to be the most well documented trip ever. What a fantastic trip this was.   Take twelve outstanding  people who love diving and put them on a boat sailing for the Bahamas and you are bound for an adventure of a life time.    You may have already seen the video presentation of all the pictures, it was playing at the dive center for weeks after the trip. (we  would be happy to show it again anytime you want to stop in.

This trip took us from the shores of Miami to Andros Island, then along the Berry Islands to the Bimini Chain.  Our home was the the Avalon Voyager, a 65'Rich with his camera. sailing vessel that had all the comforts of home and a way better cook.  The Trip was one of the most documented trips I can remember.  Twelve Divers took along 19 cameras and we took as a group over 2000 digital photos and 120 rolls of film.

This Lobster Is HUGE! The boat Was super well equipped. The Main Salon was a little crowded with  twelve people but there was plenty of room topside to eat.  The cabins were cozy with in-suite sinks and lots of storage under the bunks for your stuff.  The Avalon was equipped with two separate heads and showers making it easy to get the salt water off. All living quarters were air-conditioned and well ventilated. It  was not a posh cruise ship but it was way better than camping and the weather for the whole trip was perfect.

The Shark Feeding Dive was Fantastic!Ziggy enjoying the dive! You don't want to miss this next year... wow!The girl Posse.... Kelly, Gwen and Jennifer. People took advantage of the specialty courses that were offered. The secluded beaches between dives was an extra added bonus.
