Expedition October, 2009

Photo Courtesty of David Haas, www.haasphotography.comAfter many requests and inquiries, Divers Incorporated in cooperation with Haas Photography will host a trip to see the world's ultimate predator up close and personal. The Great White Shark! In the clearest water these magnificent predators are found we will dive for 5 days in cages off Isla Guadalupe, Mexico. All you need is a cold water suit, mask, camera and a sense of adventure!

From sunrise to sunset 10 lucky adventurers will have the opportunity to observe and capture images that will blow away your friends and family! This trip will encompass 3 cages, one that can be submerged beneath the boat for additional unique views.

The vessel is the Andrea Lynn, the largest boat running on the west coast for these adventures. Twin occupancy staterooms with private bath and toilet for each. A huge upper deck with chairs, hammocks and more for comfortable observing between your dive rotations all make this adventure special. Twin HDTVs in the main salon for entertainment and such, along with fantastic food that will spoil you.

The vessel weighs 470 TONS and has anti-roll chines built into the keel. This means even in the deep Pacific (Isla Guadalupe is 120 miles off Mexico's coast) sh
e does a much slower if any roll, not a snap!

Photo Courtesty of David Haas, www.haasphotography.comSome folks may wonder why FIVE DAYS at Isla Guadalupe? For this once in a lifetime type of trip I believe spending more time, whether it bePhoto Courtesty of David Haas, www.haasphotography.com water time and surface time to shoot additional photos or video to tell your story, plus extra time in the event of weather or variability in the shark action is a value to not be overlooked. Average in water cage time on this trip is 20 - 23 hours underwater! This extra time will allow all sorts of photographic techniques to be attempted, plus seeing things shorter trips may not see. Plus reading, napping at sea, fishing and other activities where you can get away from "normal" life will create memories you'll hold dear for years!

Photo Courtesty of David Haas, www.haasphotography.comFor this expedition we will use San Diego Shark Diving's legend, Paul "Doc" Anes who pioneered White Shark diving and works with all the top names in the film making business including Howard Hall, Bob Cranston, Stan Waterman and other great UW shooters. He has delivered for groups in the past including the fantastic experiences pictured on this page.  For more pictures check out www.haasimages.com.

The trip is also a slightly shorter boat ride as you board a motor coach in San Diego, travel into Mexico and board the Andrea Lynn in Ensenada. Transit time to Isla Guadalupe is then a little more than half a day. Rooms will be arranged right in San Diego where the bus will pick up and return our group. Airfare is not included so you can use frequent flyer miles, arrive or stay later in San Diego and make your own way.  We will be happy to set up airfare for you, just let us know.

As an extra added bonus, David Haas will be taking the trip along with us and he has promised photo help no matter what type of system you have. As usual, It is our desire  for YOU to come home with photos and video you are super happy with!
