You may think that there may not be many charter boats or chartered diving in the area since it is more typical in tropical climates. In the summer time, there are many charterboats operating on the Great Lakes. In fact, they are often times booked and sold out months in advance. Michigan and the Great Lakes are the shipwreck capital of the world with some of the most well preserved wooden wrecks in the world.
