PADI Wreck Diver SpecialtyShipwreck exploration is a popular activity in the Great Lakes.

This course is designed to be an introduction to wreck diving and to help you develop the skills and knowledge necessary for safe wreck diving.

Prerequisites

To qualify for the Wreck Diver course, you must:

  • Be certified as a PADI Adventure Diver (or have a qualifying certification from another training organization similar to that of a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver.)

  • Be 15 years of age or older.

If a Wreck Dive was conducted during the PADI Adventures in Diving program, it may be counted toward the certification requirements for this specialty at the discretion of the instructor conducting the specialty course.

 Course OverviewThe artifacts found on most of the Great Lake Shipwrecks rival many museums.

During the Wreck Diver course, you will learn the following:

  • The planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of wreck diving

  • The preparation and use of lights, air supplies, special equipment, penetration lines and reels

  • Limited-visibility diving techniques and emergency procedures

Course Costs

The PADI Wreck Diver Specialty Certification from Divers Incorporated includes:Part of the wreck course is exploring inside.

  • 12 hours of classroom lecture

  • Books, Handouts and course materials

  • Four Certification Dives  (charter fees not included)

  • Certification Processing and Administrative fees

  • Additional Equipment required: Line Reel and Lights available at Divers Incorporated.

This Course Costs $225 per person.
