PADI Underwater Videographer Specialty   

This course is designed to introduce student divers to the selection, use and care of underwater videography equipment, and the basic principles of underwater video production. 

Prerequisites

To qualify for the Underwater Videographer course, and you must:

  • Be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, Junior Open Water Diver or have a qualifying certification from another training organization.

  • Be at least 12 years old.

If an Underwater Video Dive was conducted during the PADI Adventures in Diving program, it may be counted toward the certification requirements for this specialty at the discretion of the instructor conducting the specialty course.

Course Overview

The course covers the knowledge and skills of underwater videography. The minimum recommended course hours is 12.  During the PADI Underwater Videographer Specialty course you will learn:

  • The selection, maintenance, care and handling of underwater video equipment.

  • Safe diving practices while using underwater video equipment.

  • Exposure, focus, and maintaining color with video equipment.

  • Shot types, lengths and camera moves

  • Developing a story line and shot sequencing

  • The planning, organization, procedures, techniques and problems of underwater videography.

Course Costs

The PADI Underwater Videographer Specialty Certification from Divers Incorporated includes:

  • 8 hours of classroom lecture

  • Books, Handouts and course materials

  • Four Certification Dives

  • Certification Processing and Administrative fees

  • Additional Equipment required: Underwater Video Camera and equipment available at Divers Incorporated.

This Course Costs $225 per person.
