Executive PADI Scuba
Diver Congratulations! You are about to begin the most inspirational, exciting, adventurous, and enjoyable learning experience in your life. You are going to become a PADI Scuba Diver. Whether you have dreamed about becoming a diver since you were little or you have just recently become interested, we know that the time and resources involved in learning to scuba dive with Divers Incorporated will be well spent. Being a diver exposes you to a whole new world. It's your ticket to adventure in some of our planet's most beautiful and exciting locations. Diving is something you can share with friends and family, and it will lead you to new friends. The Executive PADI Scuba Diver Course is a course for those individuals who wish to experience diving with a PADI Professional but do not wish to complete the requirements for the PADI National Geographic Open Water Diver Certification. It is a shorter option for those people who want to dive on vacation or locally and are willing to be limited to diving under the supervision of a Professional Divemaster or instructor. The experience you gain in this course is able to be credited towards the PADI National Geographic Open Water Diver Certification at a later date. The Executive PADI Scuba Diver Course is designed for people who are comfortable, motivated, and disciplined for self study. While this course requires less overall time at the Dive Center, the accelerated nature of this program requires study at home. The course is shortened using a prescriptive teaching style rather than a full lecture. The classroom sessions concentrate mostly on those points that you may have missed on your own. More time is devoted during each session to the actual pool work, relying on the student to understand what they are learning on their own, and to seek out the dive centers assistance outside of the classroom setting if necessary. Prerequisites Before you can enroll in the PADI Scuba Diver course, you must:
Classroom and Pool Sessions
Your course starts with your orientation at Divers Incorporated where you and your dive guide discuss if this program is the best one suited for your needs. When you come in to sign up for the course you will get your homework assignments and a complete PADI Open Water Diver Course Video to watch at home. Your dive guide will also help you select your Mask, Snorkel, Fins and Boots during the orientation. You will schedule your next two sessions (and, if desired, an open water day.) Each session requires you to have completed your homework assignments and consist of one to two hours of classroom training and two-three hours of pool training. For each session you will need to have a swimsuit, a towel and a lock is suggested. Approved Mask, Snorkel, Fins, and Boots are needed for the remaining sessions. Scuba Equipment will be provided. Gloves are not needed until the Open Water Certification dives. After the Classroom and Pool sessions are completed the Open water Dives are typically completed in one day. Taking a trip to complete your certification? Click here for more information.
The Pool and the classroom portions of this course are only the beginning. To complete your certification you must complete two dives in an Open Water setting. Typically your open water certification dive will be scheduled as soon as it is possible after the pool and classroom portions of this program. Regardless of how you plan on completing the certification dives you will have six months to complete the required Open Water Certification without retraining.
