PADI River Diver Specialty

This course is designed to be an introduction to river diving and to help you develop the skills, knowledge and techniques necessary for river diving.

 Prerequisites

To qualify for the River Diver course, you  must:

• Be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or have a qualifying certification from another training organization.

• Be 18 years of age or older.

• Be comfortable in limited visibility

Course Overview

This course covers the techniques for safe and effective river diving.  During the River Diver course, you will learn the following:

• The planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of River diving.

• Site selection, preparation, entry and exit procedures and considerations

• Special equipment, safety considerations, signals, communications and dive skills.

• Different considerations for different river environments

Course Costs

The PADI River Diver Specialty Certification from Divers Incorporated includes:

• 8  hours of classroom lecture

• Books, Handouts and course materials

• Four Certification Dives

• Certification Processing and Administrative fees

• Additional Equipment required: River Tools, Dive Flag and Float available at Divers Incorporated.

This Course Costs $225 per person.
