Why are they So
Expensive?
Many divers ask why the The Technical diver courses at Divers
Incorporated seem so expensive when the compare the prices to other competitors.
You best bet to get the answer that you are looking for is to call the
dive center and ask. But the basics of it are pretty simple. We tell
you all prices up front so that you do not get some unpleasant surprises later.
Our courses include all of the costs paid to us, including the air fills.
Course Costs For
the DSAT Tec Trimix 65 and Tec Trimix Course.
The DSAT Tec Trimix Diver course offered
at Divers Incorporated includes:
-
16 hours of classroom lecture
(minimum) This compares to other agencies. The
information taught in this class is the equivalent of the the IANTD Technical
Nitrox course, the Normoxic Trimix Diver course and the Trimix
Diver Course or the TDI Trimix Diver Program. There are no intermediate
stages. When you are done with this course you are a Trimix Diver of all
levels and able to plan dives to any depth.
-
DSAT Tec Trimix Crew Pack and course
materials. This includes Tables, Planning slates,
and handouts.
-
Eight Open Water training Dives.
This is two more dives than the IANTD or
TDI course but the last dive MUST be deeper than 180ft. (why else would you
take the course?) At least seven of the dives utilize Trimix.
-
All Trimix, Nitrox, Oxygen
and air fills for the course - The cost of the
breathable gas is typically the biggest
surprise to Trimix students. The average price for the Trimix,
Air and deco Gas for this course is $800. Just as an example,
If you plan the final dive with three deco mixes and a Trimix with an EAD of
100ft you would pay about $160 just for the breathable and very
necessary gases for this dive.
