PADI Emergency First Response Instructor

Emergency First Response Instructors are PADI Instructors, Assistant Instructors and Divemasters who have satisfactorily completed an Emergency First Response Instructor Training course. Emergency First Response Instructors may conduct the program for divers and non-divers who want CPR and first aid training including basic emergency medical care knowledge and skills. Emergency First Response Instructors may earn additional credentials and be authorized to teach other Emergency First Response programs such as the Care for Children course or First Aid at Work programs. Additional training or qualifications may be required to earn these credentials.

Prerequisites

To enroll in an Emergency First Response Instructor  course, you must:

  • Have successfully completed an Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR) course or another qualifying CPR course.

  • Have successfully completed an Emergency First Response Secondary Care (First Aid) course or another qualifying first aid course.

*As of August 2004 being a PADI Member is no longer a requirement for this course. Anyone with a current CPR/ First Aid Certification is able to take this course and become an EFR Instructor. 

Course Costs

The Emergency First Response Instructor offered at Divers Incorporated includes:

  • 15  hours of classroom lecture, Hands on  training and practical application experience.

  • Emergency First Response  Manual and Emergency First Response Instructor Manual (paper version) 

This Program Costs $399 per person.
