Favorite Dive Ever:
It's not so much the destination as the people you are with.
Tobermory, Canada, The first wreck dive with my wife, The Bahamas with my Dad,
Cooper River with everyone I dove that with, Mackinac Island Boat Dock,
Great Barrier Reef, Harsens Island at the Tashmoo dock.
Favorite Local Dive:
The Detroit River near Grosse Ile, Michigan
Favorite Great Lake
Shipwreck: It's hard to pick one since there
are five Great Lakes, The
Steamship Eber Ward in Lake Michigan (130ft), The Dredge barge Munson (106ft),
in Lake Ontario, The Tugboat Seabreeze in Lake Erie (20ft), The Steamer
Osborne in Lake Superior (180ft) and the Side-wheel Steamer Detroit in Lake
Huron (220ft).
What they would like
you to know about them: To me diving is more than a sport. It
is a culture, it is a way of life, and a passion that far exceeds anything
else I have known. I have been in and around water all of my life. I
had a scuba mask on before I could walk. I work in a dive center at least
6 days a week and I love my job. I have been diving in all the Great Lakes
and many of the worlds oceans. Although I have little time for pedigrees
and the like, I can say I have seen what few people
have seen and what many more cannot even imagine. I am fortunate enough to have been places
in this world that at the time my dive buddy and I were there, more people had
walked on the moon. With all that I have accomplished, I still feel
that there is a life time of diving left to do...
... so on my days off, I go diving.
