Any of a number of gorgeous summer and fall days last year in the local
quarries with the fun gang from Diver’s Inc! What they would like
you to know about them: I am originally from New Jersey. I ended up
in the Midwest for grad school, and have been working at U of M since finishing
school four years ago. (Rumor has it I successfully ditched the jersey accent,
but you can be the judge of that.) I first became interested in diving while
snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Snorkeling was loads of fun,
but I wanted to go down to see cool stuff and stay down on more than a single
breath. Now I'm hooked on diving and always looking to log more bottom time!
What better way to combine a sense of adventure with my love of water, animals,
travel, and other fun people? Since getting certified in the summer of 2003 I've
enjoyed diving in Hawaii, San Diego, the Bahamas, Florida Keys, Outer Banks of
North Carolina, and lots of diving locally in the Great Lakes and nearby
quarries. When not diving I enjoy spending time with my yellow Lab (Savanna),
running, hiking, playing tennis and soccer, cooking, baking, and hanging out
with my favorite people - many of whom I have met through diving. |
