Favorite Dive Ever:
Port Sanilac on the tugboat wreck of the “ Mary Alice B “.
While taking a moment to stand behind the ships wheel, it was then I noticed
just to my left a three foot Catfish some six inches from my face. Seems the
fish had that look of wonder as to what I was doing there. Truly amazing!
Favorite Local
Dive:
Wreck dives at
the Lake Erie’s Pelee Passage. To experience diving on ships that has been lying
on the bottom of the lake for over a hundred years in the Great Lakes is so
amazing. To touch the wood deck, or the intact hull and realizing the wood
looks like new. Wow talk about time travel.
Favorite Great Lake Shipwreck:
The Regina, Lake Huron. The steel freighter ( 249’7” x 42’6” x 20’5” )
Constructed in Scotland in 1907, capsized, and sank with all hands during the
Great Storms of November 10 thru 13, 1913. She lies upside down on her deck in
some 90’of water, with her hull split open near amidships. This is truly an
awesome sight to behold.
What they would like you to know about them:
Becoming
a scuba diver has long been a desire of mine, one that has quickly become a
wondrous passion. Dropping beneath the waters surface into another world, and
realizing a truly amazing new one awaits you, is beyond simple words of
expression. For me it’s as if I stepping onto the surface of another planet, and
I see an unfamiliar wondrous nature. A different world that holds’s a vast
diversity of colors, beauty, and life. Scuba diving is not only a great
experience, or hobby to me, it is a never ending adventure. Among the many other
interests, and hobbies I am actively involved in, ( Musician in two band, Artist
and member of the Michigan Plein Air Painters, Sport Fencing, Sailboat owner /
racer, Detroit Triumph Sports Car owner / member, Past Commodore of the Ford
Yacht Club ). My desire is to grow my experiences, educations, and skills as a
diver. With a deep desire to share my thoughts and feelings with as many people
as I possibly can. I hope that in doing so, I will help others join the
wonderful world of scuba diving.
