Spring Mill Pond
If you are looking for a nice place to dive and spend the
day with your family,
Spring
Mill Pond is a convenient little lake convenient to the Ann Arbor area.
This little lake is mostly a mud bottom but
there are a lot of fish to see and a couple of sunken sites to look at.
The temperature on the surface tends to be warm but at 35ft (its maximum depth)
the water is a little chilly below the thermocline.
Located in the Island Lake Recreation Area, this lake has
a beach and local amenities so that you and your family can enjoy a day at the
beach while you enjoy a day of diving.

To get to Spring Mill Pond from Divers Incorporated, Ann
Arbor:
1: EAST on WASHTENAW AVE 0.4 miles
2: Merge onto US-23 N toward FLINT. 22.0 miles
3: Merge onto I-96 E via EXIT 60A toward DETROIT. 3.4 miles
4: Take the KENSINGTON RD exit- EXIT 151. 0.2 miles
5: Turn LEFT onto KENSINGTON RD. 0.70 miles
6: Turn LEFT into Island State Recreation Area
7: Pay the vehicle fee at the gate and follow the signs around to Spring Mill
Pond.
