Trade-In ProgramIn February 2005, Divers Incorporated unveiled a new trade in program that will allow you the opportunity to trade in almost any diving related item for its full value towards a new item or items. This innovative approach to customer service is sure to become a benchmark in the diving industry. If you have some piece of diving equipment that you are interested in upgrading, Divers Incorporated will allow you to trade it in towards something newer and better. Unlike some other trade in programs that you may have seen in the past, Divers Incorporated will give you the full value of your trade-in towards something new even if it was purchased elsewhere. Some limitations do apply and a minimum purchase is required so you need to stop in for details but here are the basics of how it works. Bring whatever you wish to trade in, along with the purchase receipt and we will discuss with you what it is worth towards a trade in. If you do not have the receipt we can still trade it in, but it is a little more difficult for us to come up with a value for it, and it may take a little longer for the process. So what is it worth? This is a question that everyone asks about equipment when they want to upgrade. Regulators, Instruments, Computers, Lights, dive knives, Drysuits and BCD's retain their value the best, especially if they were well maintained. In these cases, you can probably get close to what you paid for them. Masks, Fins, Snorkels, Wetsuits, hoods, boots, and gloves do not retain their value as well because they wear out faster. If you have taken good care of them they will be worth more. Tanks are hit or miss depending on the condition. If they have a current hydro, are well maintained and are not super old they can be worth a lot more. Steel tanks in good condition hold their value the best. Whatever the case, we will be able to take care of you and will work with you to come up with an agreeable arrangement. Why is Divers Incorporated offering a trade-in privilege? Since it has never been done before to this degree (as far as we know) many people, especially industry professionals, ask us why we would want to do something like trade-ins for our customers. In the early years, Divers Incorporated carried every manufacturer available. As the times changed and each manufacturer became more specialized (or in some cases less reliable) there were products that were noticeably better than others. Divers Incorporated is proud to be a Dive Center that offers only the best products available to its customers. If a product has become less reliable, we want to give our customers options to upgrade affordably. Another reason is the economics of properly maintaining your diving equipment. We want our customers to dive a lot and be comfortable with what they are diving. Each year you should have your regulators, BCD's and other equipment inspected and rebuilt according to the manufacturers specifications. As the warranties of these manufacturers run their terms, we are not able to fully support all of the lines as economically as we once did. As your equipment gets older, parts become harder to get and in some cases, the manufacturers stop production of parts to properly repair and maintain your equipment. This makes the parts and in some cases the labor more expensive. When you are able to trade-in older equipment, the new equipment comes with warranties that cover parts saving you money in the long run. Are there any restrictions? As with all trade-in programs there are some restrictions. The program has a minimum purchase requirement and the equipment that you are trading in needs to be in ok shape without signs of abuse. How do I learn More about the Program? The best way for you to learn more about the program is to stop in and talk with one of the professionals at Divers Incorporated and we can let you know the details. Stop in today and bring your older equipment in. We look forward to seeing you.
